What is a great recipe for cherry pie?

This is weird to ask but believe it or not, none of my cookbooks have a cherry pie recipe in them. I am celebrating my anniversary tonight with my wonderful boyfriend and his favorite desert is cherry pie. If you could provide me with a recipe I would greatly appreciate it. I prefer less tart of a pie but not overly sweet as there will be french vanilla ice cream served with it. Also, should this have any effect on the recipe I would rather you now, I intend to you fake cherries, lol. I mean canned cherries. Please help, thank you.
