What type of lure is best for pike when fishing on cs or other similar narrow bodies of water?

Earlier in the year I had good results using a fluorescent Mepps spinner, however just recently this lure has become less productive. I reverted to using brightly coloured soft rubber shads on weighted jig heads and these have been fairly successful, however they tend to get badly damaged by a combination of the pike's teeth and the unhooking process. I am thinking about trying some large spoons, however any other suggestions would be greatly welcomed.
