Travellers i need your help please =)?

Does anyone know the cheapest way of getting to Sicily (Italy)? Im living in Budapest right now and want to go with some friends to Sicily but have no idea how to start organising the actual travel. Has anyone travelled from Rome to Palermo maybe or anything like that? Please help me thank youuu =)
