Recommend a book for me: Scarlet Letter, Kite Runner, One Flew Over..., or Their Eyes Were Watching God?

The imitating the author's style part makes me wonder. All of them have unusual viewpoints that aren't easy to get inside to write. I would choose ZN Hurston, because of all of them her narrative is straightforward, compelling, unapologetic, and easiest to imitate.
