Nuclear Physics or Nuclear Engineering?
I am currently a Senior in Mississippi and am interested in majoring in a chemical field. Ever since Chemistry my freshman year, I have fallen in love with the subject. About the time we made it to a Nuclear level, I decided to pursue it as my major. Now, as I edge closer and closer to graduating, i realize Nuclear chemistry is too broad of an example in majors. I have narrowed things down to the two majors above but am somewhat stuck. I have been doing some research but have not been able to find answers to my many questions. What I am mainly looking for is a background of Nuclear Physicist and Nuclear Engineer as a Career. What are main differences in the workplace, what sort of environment am I looking at, what are possible career choices that i could take each too, etc. I have also thought about doing both. Is this a good idea? are the cles required close to the same for each major? also for a bonus, recommended colleges would be a plus also. I am mainly interested in the Majors first though. Thank you for your time.
